We have grown accustomed to the deeply pigmented wines from the small berries at
this vineyard site. The intensity of the color is an inviting indication of the powerful wine
to follow. One discovers a profound attack on the palate, exerting a strong full-bodied
presence right from the beginning. The flavors display ample dark black fruits framed
by powerful tannins as the wine crosses the palate and segues confidently to a long
and lingering finish. Decant 30-60 Minutes Prior to Serving. Drink Now through 2028.

Ratings
92 CORLEY 2011 'State Lane' Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Yountville).
Sagebrush and dark cherries meld into a clean yet rustic aroma profile, which also picks up bits of thyme and cedar. Blueberries, elderberries and black plums power the palate, which is framed by strong yet not overpowering tannins, and elevated by woody, wild mint stalks. —M.K., Wine Enthusiast, Oct 2015

✩✩✩✩ 4 Stars The Corley Family made impressive Cabernets and blends in 2011. The 2011 ‘State Lane’ is very Bordeaux-like in style (complex, lightly herbal in character): supple, full bodied, and balanced; a moderately intense wines that tastes of cassis, black currant, vanilla, green bean, pepper, leather, and toast. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
